Sport CALL for a Healthy Lifestyle
About the project
“Sport cALL for a healthy lifestyle” is a European cooperation project in the field of sports, coordinated by the Kasta Morrely Association from Romania and implemented in a consortium that also includes the partner organizations: Development Youth & Sports Association from Turkey, Intercultural Association for All from Portugal and EuroFRC from Poland.
The project will run from January 2025 to June 2026 and will contribute to developing the quality of mass outdoor sports activities and strengthening the capacity of civil society organizations in the field of sports and education, for the benefit of environmental education.
The “Sport cALL for a healthy lifestyle” project aims to:
- To promote the benefits of sport for a healthy lifestyle through the complementarity between sport and outdoor education, in an applied multidisciplinary approach
- To support the collaboration of at least 50 actors from the fields of sport, youth work and non-formal education from Romania, Poland, Portugal and Turkey, demonstrating the benefits of cooperation for an ecological lifestyle through sport.
- To strengthen the partnership between the four partner organizations, active in the field of mass sports and non-formal education, contributing to the development of European cooperation in activities dedicated to sports and education, with an emphasis on environmental protection awareness.
One of the main activities of the project is the international boot camp “Fusion between sport and environment” which will include various sports activities (relay games, football, martial arts, dance and orienteering) and will facilitate the exchange of good sports practices, highlighting their benefits for health and well-being.
In all 4 partner countries, “Sport cALL for a healthy lifestyle” awareness campaigns will be organized through online means, workshops, outdoor sports activities and demonstration events held in public spaces.
The project results will be promoted through a brochure that will include educational methods that can be implemented outdoors or in a specific natural setting, focused on environmental protection through sports techniques.
Partners Preparatory Transnational Meeting
On the 8th and 9th of February 2025, our organisation hosted a Transnational Project Meeting in Barcelos as part of our Erasmus+ Sport project. During the meeting, partners from Turkey, Romania, Poland, and Portugal gathered to discuss the project’s objectives, upcoming activities, and management procedures. The sessions focused on ensuring a clear understanding of each partner’s responsibilities and strengthening our collaboration for effective implementation. We are grateful for the active participation and constructive contributions of all partners, which made this meeting a great success and an excellent start for the upcoming project phases.
International Bootcamp Sport and Environment Fusion
As part of the “Sport cALL for a healthy lifestyle” project, we had the opportunity to participate in an inspiring International Bootcamp, where sport and environmental awareness came together through dynamic outdoor activities and cross-cultural learning.
From martial arts to orienteering, dance, football, and Zumba — the program was filled with energy, teamwork, and meaningful exchange. It was a true reminder of how sport can unite people and support both physical and mental well-being.

Sport Focus Workshop Series
As part of the Sport Call for a Healthy Lifestyle project, IAFA organised the Sport Focus Workshop Series in Barcelos, Portugal. The series included three practical workshops focused on movement, teamwork, inclusion, youth participation and healthy lifestyle habits through sport.
Relay Games Workshop took place at Escola Secundária de Barcelinhos with 19 students and was led by Oana Mihaela. The activity used dynamic relay-based games to promote physical activity, cooperation, communication and team spirit. Students participated with strong motivation and supported each other throughout the session, creating a positive and inclusive environment where sport was experienced in a fun and accessible way.
Footvolley Workshop was organised with 16 young amateur football players from F.C. Os Ceramistas and was led by Barış Mustafa Kümbetlioğlu. The session introduced participants to a different sport that combines football technique with volleyball-style movement. Through this activity, participants worked on coordination, balance, quick reactions, teamwork and communication while staying active in an enjoyable and friendly sporting atmosphere.
Dance Workshop took place at ARCA Dance Studio with 27 participants and was led by Marek Tegowski. The activity promoted movement, rhythm, self-expression, confidence and social interaction through dance. Participants showed strong involvement throughout the session, creating an energetic and creative atmosphere that supported wellbeing, inclusion and community engagement.
Inclusive Zumba Activity with APACI
As part of the Sport Call for a Healthy Lifestyle project, we held a meaningful solidarity event focused on physical activity, well-being and community participation.
The morning brought together different moments of movement and connection, starting with a warm welcome and warm-up, followed by a walk with Mário Faria, a dynamic “military training” activity, a dance performance and a Pilates session. The event ended in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere with a shared picnic.
This initiative reflected the values of the project: promoting healthy lifestyles, encouraging active participation and strengthening the sense of community through sport and solidarity.
It was a memorable morning filled with energy, smiles and togetherness, showing once again how physical activity can bring people closer and create positive experiences for everyone.
