What we do

Funded ways to grow with us.

Every project we run is powered by a European programme. Here's what each one offers — and how you can take part.

Accreditations

Officially accredited.

IAFA holds the EU accreditations that let us run and host learning mobility and volunteering, year after year.

Erasmus+ Youth

Erasmus+ Youth Accreditation

Simplified, long-term access to Key Action 1 youth learning-mobility funding.

European Solidarity Corps

ESC Quality Label

Approved to host, support and lead European Solidarity Corps volunteering.

Eurodesk

Your local Eurodesk point.

IAFA is part of Eurodesk — the European youth information network, supported by Erasmus+. We bring free, friendly information about studying, volunteering, training and working abroad to young people in Barcelos and the region.

Have a question about going abroad? We help you find the right opportunity — from Erasmus+ and the European Solidarity Corps to scholarships, youth exchanges and the European Youth Portal.

European Solidarity Corps

Volunteer, and make it count.

The European Solidarity Corps lets young people volunteer on solidarity projects across Europe — from a few weeks of group volunteering to longer individual placements — with travel, accommodation and support fully funded.

With IAFA, volunteers join community life in Barcelos and beyond: cultural celebrations, local events and solidarity actions that leave something real behind.

Erasmus+

Learn by crossing borders.

Key Action 1 — Learning Mobility. Youth exchanges and training courses built on non-formal learning, bringing together international teams to develop skills, ideas and friendships that last.

Key Action 2 — Cooperation Partnerships. Longer-term partnerships between organisations across Europe, creating tools, resources and good practices — from digital literacy for seniors to arts education and sport.

Creative Europe

Culture as a bridge between people.

Through Creative Europe we support capacity building and audience development in the cultural and creative sectors — bringing sustainable fashion, performing arts and intercultural learning to new audiences.
