Overview

Fashion Sustainability in the Spotlight

"Fashion Sustainability in the Spotlight, New Trends of Intercultural Learning" is a collaboration between partners from Romania, Portugal and Tunisia.

Its aim is to support capacity building and audience development in fashion by enhancing sustainable-fashion awareness and creative, intercultural competences — through non-formal education and fashion performing arts, valuing social modernisation and cultural preservation.

The consortium was coordinated by the Kasta Morrely Association (Romania), with the University of Sfax (Tunisia) and IAFA (Portugal) as partners. Together they produced two intercultural sustainable-fashion collections — designed by an international team including the Romanian company Katty Fashion, the Portuguese designer Rita Sá, and students and master's students of Sfax University — using natural and recycled materials and applying hand-made, zero-waste principles.

Funding: Creative Europe (culture)
